ABOUT ME

Barbara Natalia Ferlak is a production, and costume designer.
Barbara was born in Gniezno, in 1990. She is a graduate of the Leon Wyczołkowski Secondary State School of Fine Arts, Bydgoszcz; specializing in visual advertising. She studied Fine Arts at the Pedagogical University of Cracow and History of Art at the University of Warsaw.
She began her film career in 2012 on the set of Mateusz Glowacki's film 'Killing Aunt' . Barbara works in the production of sets for many film and television productions. She is the author of scenography on many commercials, for famous brand. Barbara cooperates on film productions with
the National Film School in Łodz, and the Krzysztof Kieslowski Film School. Short films with her set design have won many awards at international festivals.
In 2016, she made her debut at the Ludowy Theater in Cracow with the performance “Secret Life of the Friedman’s” directed by Marcin Wierzchowski (Grand Prix of the Divine Comedy Festival 2017). Barbara designs stage sets, and costumes in Theater as well. Theater performances with her set design were shown at many international, and Polish Festivals.
She continues her long-standing collaboration with photographer Magdalena Franczuk, creating wonderful photographs, and animations of film projects. Together with Franczuk, they created amazing world in “The Book Of Wonders”. The project was seen in the Center Of Contemporary Art at Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw, and Circulation(s) Festival in Paris during Graduation Projects Show.
In 2015, she was invited as a Polish artist to the international project Van Gogh Alive - The Experience. She created the Van Gogh room, shown at the Van Gogh Alive Exhibition, in Warsaw.
